I've created some art works inspired by George Carlin's famous stand-up routine, "Seven words you can never say on television." Examples posted here use a variety of media, materials, processes, and approaches. Themes of American Puritanism, freedom of speech, artistic freedom of expression, repression, and censorship are explored through visual art as a tribute to Carlin's work as a performance artist. The common point of departure is a love of words, and playing with them.
